Chemometrics
Chemometrics is defined by the European Pharmacopoeia as the chemical discipline that uses mathematical and statistical methods,
- to design or select optimal measurement procedures and experiments, and
- to provide maximum chemical information by analysing chemical data
The final goal being to get a better understanding through an increased knowledge of the chemical system investigated.
In this framework, the Research Support Unit in Chemometrics (RSU-Chemometrics) aims at helping the technological platforms of the CIRM in their research projects at each step. We can provide support during:
- Project development to plan beforehand the best data acquisition depending on the final objective
- Construction and interpretation of their design of experiments (DoE)
- Selection of the most appropriate multivariate statistical tools to analyse the data
- Implementation of the selected statistical tools and interpretation of the obtained results
In complement to these support activities, an introductory course to chemometrics tools is given: CHIM923-1 Introduction à la chimiométrie (10h Th)
