Quality policy at CIRM is a real asset for the University of Liège since it is unique in European university community.

n order to meet the requirements increasingly stringent by interested parties and in order to meet internationally recognized criteria in monitoring 'quality' of its activities, CIRM decided to implement a quality approach based on the principles set out by different organisms (OCDE – European Commission – ISO) depending on specific activities (drug development, drug analysis, pre-clinical analysis, clinical biology, …).

quality

One of our goals is to enhance the systematic research and use of best preventive practices at all levels and ensure reliable risk management. Indeed, the management of quality in a research environment is essential for ensuring the smooth transfer of technology from research to industrial or clinical environment. However, a balance must be found between maintaining a high level of control without inhibiting creativity. More importantly, the implementation of a QA system in an environment involved in the management of non-routine experiments and associated research allows to implement the quality into every research protocol, to lead to more reliable research results and to make the valorization of the research results easier.

The approach is also very important in order to provide an up to date education and to provide trainees in conditions close to professional environment in terms of quality management. Moreover, CIRM members organize a unique certificate in Quality Assurance in collaboration with other entities.
